We regularly
make presentations during Travel
Trade
conferences concerning using the
Internet to drive traffic and increase sales. It appears that
most businesses have read the articles about e-commerce that advises
them to get on the web to be stay competitive, so that’s what they did.
Once they designed and paid for the initial setup, they either had no
money or training on how to make the web work for them. Unfortunately,
there are only two ways to make the web work for you. Either hire a
professional or do it yourself. These small business, many only a one or
two person organizations, don’t have either the money or skills.
We have made similar presentations to
other groups and found that we were being asked the similar questions over
and over again. So instead of repeating myself, we decided to write a short book
that has been expanded to two our second book, that answers most of these basic questions
about getting visitors to their site, how to use search engines, and then
converting shoppers into buyers. In our books we've listed where you can get
many tools to make all this happen for FREE or at a very reasonable price.
Our most recent two books are "Got Web, A Small Business Guide to
Using the Internet to Grow Your Business and It's Profits" and
"Now that you have your web site, Now What".

One of the best things about the Internet
is you don't have to be big to provide quality service. In fact
being small can be a big benefit because web surfers are looking for
off-line service and they still believe that small stores can give better personalized
service as opposed to the mega-stores. I'm presently teaching a
class tailored for small businesses at the Eastland Vocational Careers
Center in Columbus Ohio plus I teach a class at Columbus State
Community College on using Microsoft Front Page to quickly and easily
create your web site. But if you can't attend one of my
seminars here in Ohio, you can still purchase my books which are used as
the text books.
Here
is the table of contents for the books
"Got
Web" and
"Now What".
Look them over and if you wish to purchase, they are only $20 each plus
shipping and handling of $4.95 each, OH resident pay the sales tax.
